‘Sounds Like You’ Rom-Com Audiobook Launches Exclusively on Audible


Get ready to fall in love with the captivating new Audible Original, "Sounds Like You," an irresistible rom-com sensation now available exclusively on Audible, a leading producer and provider of audio storytelling. Narrated by dynamic TikTok talent Oliver Mills and Georgia McCudden, in collaboration with Amplify, this delightful offering takes listeners on a whirlwind journey through the modern dating landscape, playfully exploring the allure of voice attraction.

Sounds Like You follows Penny Jane, a university student burnt out from dating and determined to find true love. Putting her engineering degree to the test, Penny creates a new dating app, focusing entirely on audio connections, called WAVES. To bring the app to life, she needs to team up with a fellow student Sebastian, which is when the real adventure begins.

As it turns out, Aussies are all ears when it comes to love, with new research revealing 46% believe a person’s voice can reveal their personality, and over half (62%) feel a person’s voice can make them more memorable.

When it comes to dating habits, it turns out Australian women send voice notes as soon as they match (25%), while men are more likely to wait until after the first kiss (14%).

Aussies also prefer to date someone with an Australian accent (48%), followed by English (16%), Irish (10%), French (7%), American (6%) and Italian (6%).

Australians voted Matthew McConaughey’s ‘soft and gentle’ voice as their favourite (28%), with the ‘deep and soothing’ tones of Jason Momoa (23%) second, and the playful and energetic voice of Ryan Reynolds in third place (16%).
