When you think of Jon Bon Jovi, the last thing that probably springs to mind is him gently sipping a delicate glass of pale pink Rosé. Well think again!  He and his son Jesse have introduced their award-winning Hampton Water Rosé into Australia and it’s now available at Dan Murphy’s stores nationwide. 

Hampton Water is the result of a collaboration between Jon Bon Jovi, Jesse and leading French wine maker Gérard Bertrand.  It came about as a result of family summer holidays enjoying delicious French Rosé wine in the Hamptons – the luxurious American holiday destination on Long Island, New York – hence they named it ‘Hampton Water’. 

“We wanted to create a wine that captured the spirit and lifestyle shared between the Hamptons and the South of France – long hot summers with family and friends, accompanied by a delicious glass of wine. Hampton Water encapsulates all of that,” said Jesse.

Produced in Languedoc, one of the leading Rosé wine regions in France, the grapes are hand-picked from only the best sites chosen personally by Gérard Bertrand to ensure the perfect ripeness.  They are de-stemmed, cooled to 8⁰c and only the first-rate, highest quality juice is retained after pressing to ensure utmost quality.

The result is an outstanding Rosé in classic French style that lends itself well to summer entertaining, when sandy shoes get kicked off, and after long lunches turn into lazy afternoons. 

With an elegant pale pink colour, Hampton Water is fresh and lively with distinctive minerality and a long-lasting finish, intensified by aging in French oak barrels.  Featuring intense aromas of red fruit, citrus and spices, this divine drop will be a welcome guest at any social occasion.  Pair with light canapes, seafood, Mediterranean dishes and lightly grilled fish, vegetables or white meat.

Hampton Water Rosé Cinco de Mayo Cocktail Recipe 

Spicy, with a hint of sweetness, this delicious margarita cocktail made with  Hampton Water Rosé will quench your thirst on a hot summers’ day.

Ingredients 

- 1.5 oz tequila 

- 1/2 oz jalapeño syrup 

- 3/4 oz watermelon juice 

- 1 oz lime juice 

- 2 oz Hampton Water Rosé⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 

Method 

Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake and strain into a glass with ice.  Garnish with fresh jalapeño slices and watermelon.
