  • Written by: Naomi Hammond

Newly opened Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer and Tasmania's Mövenpick Hotel Hobart are embracing their decadent Swiss brand heritage to bring guests an array of ways to indulge during the sweetest time of the year – Easter.

The culinary team at Mövenpick Hotel Melbourne on Spencer are partnering with the ice cream chef's at Melbourne's Kenny Lover to give their iconic Mövenpick Ice Cream Parfait an Easter twist. This mouth-watering creation features Kenny Lover's custom blend hot cross bun ice cream before being topped with an array of Easter eggs, chocolate rabbits and more.

This Instagram-worthy parfait is available throughout the entire month of April during the hotel's 'Chocolate Hour' from 3.30pm – 4.30pm daily for $20 (serves 1-2). No pre-bookings required – available to hotel guests and visitors.

At Mövenpick Hotel Hobart, celebrate the mood-boosting psychology of chocolate with their 'Chocology' packages, served in Tesoro Restaurant's plush surrounds from 2.30pm to 4.30pm daily. It's an oh-so-sweet alternative to a traditional high tea.

Throughout April, Chocology takes on an extra sweet twist where guests and visitors can indulge in choc chip hot cross buns and Easter-themed cakes and tarlettes made inhouse daily by the hotel's pastry chef. Those looking for extra indulgence can add bottomless sparkling wine for an extra charge. Children are also welcome to join in the fun with the Little Sweet Treats package for children 12 years and under making Chocology a fantastic experience for the whole family.

Mövenpick Hotel Hobart's Easter-themed Chocology packages are available from 1 to 30 April with bookings required at least 24-hours in advance.

  • Chocology - $39 per person including chef's daily selection of six house made treats, one ice cream affogato and a glass of sparkling wine
  • Chocology + Fizz - $64 per person including all of the above plus one hour of bottomless sparkling wine
  • Little Sweet Treats - $20 per child 12 years and under including four house made treats, one milkshake and an ice cream

A 15% surcharge applies on public holiday dates (15 April, 18 April, 19 April and 25 April).

With the Mövenpick brand heritage and rich culinary offerings inextricably linked to its Swiss origins (an area famous for its chocolate) both hotels offer decadent indulgences all year round. Experiences include the free daily 'Chocolate Hour' from 3.30pm to 4.30pm where hotel guests can indulge in a chocolate themed treat that changes daily.

Mövenpick Hotels are the perfect choice for a family Easter break, with children under 12 years able to enjoy unlimited free ice cream during their stay.
