Every Fashionista Needs to Learn These Tricks to Accessorising With Rings

  • Written by: Times Media

Being fashionable isn’t just about dressing up. It’s also a way of expressing your style through different accessories, and
rings with crystals are must-haves in every fashionista’s closet. Now if you’re new to accessorising with rings, here are some nifty tricks to help you get started:

Learn about proper finger placement.

Here’s the thing: there’s a proper way to wear different types of rings to make them look stylish. If you prefer using smaller rings, place them on your middle fingers. But if you have bigger rings, it’s best if they’re on your index fingers. Now if you’re only using one or two rings, it’s best to wear them on your non-dominant hand, where they won’t bother you as much when you’re working.

Experiment with ring stacking.

One of the beauties of wearing rings is that you can’t just wear them together; you can actually wear them on top of each other. Ring stacking is about combining different metals, textures and stones to get that polished look. The trick here is to layer thinner bands with thicker crystal or stone rings, so they complement each other.

Create a balance between both hands.

This rule doesn’t just apply to rings but all your accessories. If you’re wearing a watch on one hand, you can either leave that hand with smaller rings or none at all. It’s also very important to give your fingers some breathing room by trying to avoid putting rings on every finger. Spread your rings evenly and leave at least one or two fingers empty to not make your hands look too overcrowded, especially if you’re wearing other accessories like bracelets.
