Crystalbrook Collection Introduces ‘No Rings Attached’: Australia’s First Un-Honeymoon for Couples

  • Written by The Times
Crystalbrook - Byron Bay

Why should newlyweds have all the fun? As Australia’s crude marriage rate falls to a 20-year low, down from 7.1 per 1,000 people in 2004 to just 5.5 in 2023, Crystalbrook Collection Hotels and Resorts is inviting couples of every kind to enjoy all the decadence of a honeymoon - no rings attached.

Available across Crystalbrook’s seven luxury hotels and resorts in Cairns, Brisbane, Byron Bay, Newcastle and Sydney until March 2026, the ‘No Rings Attached’ experience – Australia’s first ‘Un-Honeymoon’ -  welcomes the de facto, the divorced, the devoted, and the down-for-anything to enjoy all the extravagance of a honeymoon, minus the “I do’s”.

Couples are invited to make a playful ‘Vow to Indulge’ on arrival by checking into a dedicated Un-Honeymoon Suite, where guests are greeted with unique romantic touches. A Champagne and charcuterie welcome sets the tone for indulgence, while bespoke cocktails invite a toast to themselves. As night falls, an after-dark dessert delivery arrives at the door: a cake flight inspired by traditional cake tastings, reimagined as a private moment for two. In-suite ‘Un-Honeymoon favours,’ curated by relationship expert Susie Kim, help set the mood to spark curiosity, connection and closeness. Plus, each stay also includes daily breakfast and a late checkout.

For couples who aren’t shy about dialling up the decadence, Crystalbrook is also introducing a first-of-its-kind Un-Registry - a playful twist on the wedding gift registry. It allows couples to cheekily share a link with friends and family to help make their Un-Honeymoon a little more special with pre-paid gifted experiences. Think Elemé Day Spa treatments, Louis Roederer Champagne and caviar pairings, rosé bottles, or sunset dinners.

Each destination also offers couples the chance to elevate and tailor their Un-Honeymoon itinerary,  with optional locally curated immersive experiences, from reef heli-tours and seaplane flights to wine tastings and fragrance masterclasses.

Susie Kim said: “Love doesn't need to be followed by a wedding, but connection is still worth celebrating. Recent research shows that when couples travel together and share new experiences, their relationships see higher satisfaction, passion and intimacy - all things that make love feel alive. Whether it's a trip to celebrate a special milestone or create a fresh start, travel helps couples step out of routine, reconnect and rediscover each other. The Un-Honeymoon is about creating that space — a luxurious invitation to celebrate love in all its forms.”

Geoff York, CEO of Crystalbrook Collection added: “Crystalbrook has never been a traditional hotel group - and we don’t intend to become one. The Un-Honeymoon is a natural evolution of our approach to modern luxury: bold, a little cheeky, and grounded in real human connection. As guest expectations change, we’re reimagining what meaningful travel looks like so our hotels remain spaces for everyone to unwind, connect, and celebrate life on their own terms.”

The No Rings Attached package is available across all seven Crystalbrook Collection hotels and resorts - from Byron Bay to Cairns, Sydney, Newcastle and Brisbane - from November 2025 to March 2026, with packages starting from $625 per night.
