Ultra-luxury, book-by-the-cabin superyacht cruises around Australia

  • Written by Andrew Mevissen

Luxury superyacht cruises are considered out of reach for most people due to the high cost of a private charter but this ultra-luxe experience in idyllic locations such as the Great Barrier Reef, Gold Coast and Kimberley can now be booked by the cabin and on an all-inclusive basis, cutting the cost dramatically.

Exempt from Covid ship restrictions affecting larger vessels, the bucket-list superyacht voyages from YOTSPACE are available through Australia’s leading small ship specialist, Cruise Traveller. While those looking to check out the Airlie beach region can jump aboard a Whitsundays bareboat charter with Wings to see all of the attractions on a preorganised cruise. Thirteen sailings from two to 10 nights available aboard four superyachts in six beautiful regions around Australia from September, 2021, to September, 2022.

Boasting exclusivity, intimacy, privacy, bespoke itineraries and celebrity-like status, the indulgent, no-shoes-allowed Kimberley Cruises accommodate a maximum of 10 guests and offer deluxe cabins with ensuites, luxury lounges, deck-top jacuzzis and included gourmet chef-made meals and open bar drinks all day.

To mark the first time Cruise Traveller has offered superyacht voyages in Australia, the small ship specialist has two exclusive offers that include free yacht transfers for bookings made by July 31, 2021.

The most affordable superyacht cruise is a glamorous two-night sojourn from the Marina Mirage on the Gold Coast aboard the eight-guest Lady Pamela on May 27, 2022, with all-inclusive fares from $4501 per person, twin-share.

In the Kimberley, three immersive sailings lasting six to 10-nights between Broome and Darwin are available in June and July, 2022, aboard the eight-guest Pheonix One, with all-inclusive fares from $12,020 per person, twin-share, including light plane boat transfers in Broome and Darwin. Cruise Traveller has an exclusive offer on a sailing on June 13, 2022, that includes a free private car airport transfer in Darwin for bookings made by July 31, 2021.

From Sydney Harbour, three VIP-like sailings to Pittwater and the Hawkesbury River of five or six nights are available from February to April, 2022, aboard the 10-guest Corroboree or eight-guest Lady Pamela, with all-inclusive fares from $7179 per person, twin-share.  Cruise Traveller has an exclusive offer on a sailing on February 7, 2022, that includes free private car transfers of up to 40km to and from the yacht in Sydney for bookings made by July 31, 2021.

In the superyacht-perfect Whitsundays, three sailings of five or six nights are offered from October, 2021, to September, 2022 aboard Phoenix One or Lady Pamela, with all-inclusive fares from $8297 per person, twin-share.

A six-night voyage from Hamilton Island Resort in September, 2021, aboard the 10-guest Corroboree, is priced from $7071 per person, twin-share, all-inclusive while there are two voyages of five or six nights offered from tropical Port Douglas in September and October, 2021, aboard the eight-guest Emerald Lady or Phoenix One, with all-inclusive fares from $8492 per person, twin-share.
