Best Destinations To Learn How To Surf In Australia

  • Written by: The Times

When it comes to learning how to surf, you have a few options. You can learn to surf at Noosa. Noosa surf lessons and surf dancers are just a few of the many places offering surfing lessons. Surfing is a popular pastime in Australia. Most tourists travel to Australia every year to take advantage of the country’s magnificent beaches, landscape, and friendly locals. The following is a list of the best places in Australia to learn to surf.

  • Byron Bay, a seaside resort community

Byron Bay is an essential part of every travel itinerary. It is one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations. Byron bay has a great combination of stunning beaches, beginner-friendly waves, vibrant nightlife, and many other things to do, making it a perfect spot for people to learn how to surf. Surfing in this area is well protected from wind and offers just a tiny wave.

  • Western Australia’s Secret Harbour

This is your best option if you are looking for a less busy beach in Perth. Secret Harbour is located on the south side of Perth, and it’s well worth the visit. It is also a great alternative to Perth’s city beaches, which do not get the best surf. It is also a perfect place to learn how to surf in Western Australia.

  • Manly Beach, New South Wales

There are fewer harmful currents in Manly Beach than Bondi Beach. Also, it is better shielded and less exposed than Bondi. Manly Beach is located on Sydney’s northern beaches, and it’s distinct from the city’s central business district.

Manly Beach is a fantastic place to learn to surf because it is shielded from the wind coming from the south. There are several surf schools and rental boards available at this beach.

  • Queensland’s Gold Coast

The Gold Coast is a terrific spot to surf, but it is vital to know which beaches are most suited for beginners to avoid unnecessary risks. Many of Australia’s world-champion surfers have come from the Gold Coast’s southern shores. These beaches include Burleigh and Snapper Rocks.

  • Currumbin

For experienced surfers and surf schools operating off of Currumbin point, Currumbin point is an excellent wave for beginners and intermediate surfers.

  • Kirra and Snapper Rocks in Coolangatta

Snapper Rock is one the most famous surf spots in the country and the first stop on the annual world tour, which is in March every year. From Snapper Rock to Green-mount, a long stretch of crystal-clear waves known as the “super-bank” may be found. There isn’t a busier or more dangerous surf break in the world on days like this. However, when the surf is smaller, conditions are more forgiving, and beginners can perfect their skills. Several surf schools can be found along these shores.

  • New south wales, Yamba

Yamba is a great area to learn to surf if you are looking for a quieter option than Sydney or Byron Bay. Yamba features most of what makes Byron Bay so spectacular, but with less of flash and a more relaxed vibe than Byron Bay.

Conclusion

As a tourist, a trip to the beach is a must-do activity while visiting Australia. Surfing is also one of the most enjoyable beach pastimes. However, some beaches are better left to the professionals. As a beginner surfer, Clarkes Beach is ideal for protection from heavy southerly swells and winds. Multiple surf schools operate along Clarkes Beach for instruction or board hire and several board hiring alternatives in town.
