Australia's transportation industry, moving millions of passengers daily across trains, buses, and trams, faces unique challenges in managing passenger safety and satisfaction. The results speak for themselves. Assault incidents against transport staff decreased by 44%, while passenger complaints about staff behaviour dropped by 38%. This dual improvement demonstrates VR training's ability to create safer environments for everyone in the transport network.

Bus drivers face particular challenges, isolated in their cabins while managing fare disputes, aggressive passengers, and road rage incidents. VR training allows drivers to practice maintaining composure while prioritising passenger safety. The ability to experience these scenarios without real-world risks builds confidence that translates to calmer, safer services.

The complexity of modern ticketing systems creates numerous friction points. Passengers frustrated by malfunctioning myki readers or confused by fare structures often direct anger at staff. VR scenarios help employees explain policies clearly while managing customer emotions effectively.
