Immediate illumination: how to brighten up your bathroom

  • Written by NewsServices.com

Your bathroom should be beautifully bright. After all, there is never any fun in slipping and tripping over things you couldn’t see in a dark space! If you’ve recently found yourself asking, “why is this room so dingy? Shouldn’t it have a little character?” then you are probably wondering what you can do about it!

Thankfully, the answer is many things. There are numerous aesthetic alterations you can make to immediately illuminate your space, from bright paint jobs to new lighting. Here, we are going to talk about how to make your space one that calms your mind as you get ready for a big day ahead:

  1. The legendary frameless shower screen

One of the ultimate bathroom accessories you can install is the frameless shower screen. Because, you know that dank old curtain, the one that sticks to you every time you come into contact with it, is not doing your space any favours. It’s old, it’s manky, it’s simply got to go.

Now it’s time to install the frameless fixed panel shower screen, a legend for invigorating spaces and making them appear brighter with its sleek, modern design. How does it do this? By allowing any natural light to come flooding through the space. This is in stark contrast to that yucky old curtain, which only works to inhibit the flow of natural light in the room.

  1. Take a brush to it

Because you should be doing anything possible to reflect the natural light flooding into your space, and bright paint jobs are ideal for illuminating your space and enhancing the natural light.

So, if you’ve stepped into the room and thought “it’s so dark in here - could it be the paintwork?” then perhaps it really is the paint work. It’s time to switch it up, with some nice beiges and yellows to give it a vibrant new splash of happiness!

  1. Install a large, private window

Because you don’t have to have that tiny little window just because it’s private - you can also install large, obscured windows that still allow in plenty of natural light. Those pigeon hole windows, whilst providing privacy and peace of mind, don’t allow in natural light, and so the better option for doing just that is always the large, obscured window. You can trust that no one will be spying on you whilst making the space a lot more beautiful.

  1. & a bigger mirror whilst you’re at it

Big mirrors are another natural light reflector that will truly illuminate your space. Of course, a larger mirror will do so much more than that tiny, above-the-vanity mirror, as it will encapsulate the lighting and reflect it back through the space in the most illuminating of ways!

  1. Invest in new lighting

New lighting solutions can make your bathroom that much brighter at night. We can’t always be soaking up that good natural lighting, but we can still have a perfectly beautiful and bright space that is a joy to behold at all times of the day. What’s more, you can also install mood lighting that can be turned down when, say, you want to experience a nice warm bath.

So, is it time to make your bathroom that little bit more vibrant? If you’re tired of your dingy old room then it is definitely time to do something about it. Following these simple tips will help create an area that you are happy to enjoy and that helps keep you calm in moments of rushing to get ready. They’re just a bunch of winning features, really!
