YOUNG MELBOURNE FAMILY TURNS BIG MACS INTO BIG DREAMS

A Lakes Entrance man is turning Big Macs into big dreams, launching his young family’s very own franchise venture after working beneath the Golden Arches for 15 years.

From burgers to birdies, 32-year-old Steve Goodluck and his wife Chyena are opening their own X-Golf franchise at Clyde North, the first indoor golf simulator entertainment venue in the region.

Mr Goodluck follows in the footsteps of his father, Mike Goodluck, Licensee of two McDonalds restaurants in country Victoria since 1997.

With 420,000 indoor golfers last year as reported by Golf Australia, Steve says the transition into the sport stems from a personal love of the game and an amalgamation of professional experience.

“This the first franchise I’ve owned independently, so it’s a very exciting time.”

“We chose Clyde North because there’s nothing like it in the area. This is a unique a sports-entertainment hybrid with welcoming hospitality and fantastic food and drink options alongside mostly pubs, clubs or kid’s venues.”

And the excitement doesn’t stop there for the Goodluck’s…

While the pair is working against the clock to ensure Clyde North’s newest entertainment hotspot opens on 21 August, the couple has also recently welcomed their first child, five-week-old Bobby.

“We’ve certainly got a lot going on, but we have an awesome team of eight locals who will be working with us to transform Clyde North’s social scene. We can’t wait,” Mr Goodluck said.

X-Golf Clyde North is located at 52 Selenium Way, behind Bunnings and near stage two of the new Clyde North Lifestyle Centre. The single level dwelling will span 611sqm and will include six of the world’s most accurate golf simulators.

At its heart is a lively bar serving up cold beer on tap and tasty cocktails, plus a full-service kitchen catering to hungry players or function guests with sliders, corn ribs and pizzas just some of the goodies on offer.

X-Golf’s 29th Australian venue and the fifth in Victoria, patrons can make the most of one-on-one coaching with PGA-accredited players and even compete in the brand’s thrilling X-League.

X-Golf has become Australia’s favourite indoor golf brand due to its accessibility, offering players of all abilities reliable game-play at any time.

Bookings for the highly-anticipated X-Golf Clyde North are essential. To reserve your experience at the City of Casey’s newest locale, visit https://www.xgolf.com.au/locations/clyde-north-vic/.
