Temu’s Local Seller Program opens fully in Australia

  • Written by: The Times

Local businesses of all sizes across Australia now have a new, low-cost channel to reach millions of online shoppers, as global e-commerce platform Temu’s Local Seller Program becomes fully open to all qualified local sellers. Previously available by invitation only, the program now welcomes any Australian-registered business with locally stocked inventory—offering a simplified path to expand online and grow sales nationwide.

The move is expected to benefit a wide range of local merchants by providing direct access to a high-traffic digital marketplace and integrated tools to manage orders, shipping, and fulfillment. For example, many sellers now use cloud-based shipping services like ShipStation—integrated with the platform in April 2025—to streamline logistics and meet customer demand more efficiently.

Interested sellers in Australia can learn more and apply via the following link: https://au.seller.temu.com/login.html

Sellers in over 20 countries—including the U.S., Canada, UK, Germany, Japan, and South Korea—have already joined the program in their respective markets. Over 50% of new sellers on Temu make their first sale within 20 days, helping businesses tap into new opportunities and connect with consumers quickly.

Launched in the U.S. in September 2022, Temu has rapidly gained user popularity and now operates in over 90 global markets, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. It entered the Australian market in March 2023, where it has received positive feedback by offering a broad selection of products at competitive prices, supported by an efficient supply chain.

Temu has been ranked the fastest-growing website in Australia, according to Similarweb's 2025 Digital 100 Australia report, with a 72% increase in unique visitors year-over-year. Apple’s App Store data shows that Temu was the most downloaded iPhone app in Australia for 2024 and the only shopping app to make the top 10 free apps list in Apple's rankings.
