Crown Resorts Partners with Police Veterans

Crown Resorts has announced a significant partnership with Police Veterans Victoria (PVV), a highly respected organisation representing the interests of police veterans in the community. The collaboration aims to provide essential support to veterans who have concluded their service in the police force, including mentoring, career opportunities, a hardship fund, and specialised training. The program also has a unique goal of expanding nationally, with the aim of reaching over 100,000 veterans across the country.

In this joint effort, Crown Resorts will provide funding and resources to support various PVV programs and activities that cater to the needs of police veterans and their families. This partnership reflects Crown Resorts’ commitment to giving back to the community and recognising the sacrifices made by those who have served in law enforcement.

The partnership emphasises Crown Resorts’ dedication to community engagement and social responsibility, with four key initiatives at its core:

1. Personalised Mentoring Programs: Crown Resorts and PVV will establish tailored mentoring programs to pair retired police veterans with mentors who understand the challenges of transitioning to civilian life, providing guidance and support.

2. Genuine Career Pathways: Crown Resorts is dedicated to offering authentic career opportunities in its diverse sectors to retired police veterans, enriching its team and providing fulfilling post-service career options.

3. Hardship Fund: A dedicated hardship fund will be created to provide financial assistance and support to police veterans and their families facing challenging circumstances.

4. Specialised Training for Lifelong Success: Crown Resorts will provide specialized training aligned with the career aspirations of retired police veterans, empowering them to excel beyond their service.

Mike Volkert, Chief Executive Officer of Crown Melbourne, expressed his appreciation for Victoria Police’s efforts in keeping the community safe and emphasised the company’s commitment to empowering retired police veterans in their post-service journeys.

David McGowan, Chief Executive Officer of Police Veterans Victoria, highlighted the collaboration’s importance in supporting retired police veterans’ well-being and successful transition to civilian life.

This partnership underscores the transformative potential of collaborations that prioritise community wellbeing, with Crown Resorts committed to expanding this program nationally, beginning in Victoria and extending to other states, including New South Wales and Western Australia.
