A New Chapter in Queensland Politics

  • Written by ACL

Falling short of expectations of an overwhelming majority, David Crisafulli will be Queensland’s new Premier.

The Australian Christian Lobby’s Queensland Director, Rob Norman said, “Steven Miles’ Government has been shown the door after delivering the most radical social legislation in Queensland’s history.

“Queensland is a socially conservative constituency that has been continuously disappointed with a government that has turbo-charged abortion, assisted suicide, gender ideology, and decriminalised prostitution, whilst stifling religious freedom with their overhaul of the Anti-Discrimination Act”

Mr. Norman added, “It is encouraging to see a strong conservative cross bench with no shortage of conviction on the difficult issues.  Robbie Katter has highlighted the atrocities that accompany late term abortion and has courageously made this an election issue”

Mr. Norman said, “I congratulate the incoming Premier, David Crisafulli, and look forward to working alongside a renewed Queensland Parliament.”

The Australian Christian Lobby looks forward to a new chapter in Queensland politics and calls on the new LNP Government to commit to humble service to all Queenslanders.
