Point One Technology Announces the Launch of Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS Ceiling Fan

SINGAPORE - Media OutReach Newswire - 16 June 2026 - Point One Technology has announced the upcoming launch of Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS, a new ceiling fan model developed with the latest motor technology.

It reflects the company's continued focus on performance-led ceiling fan engineering, particularly for Singapore's climate, where heat, humidity, and long daily usage place higher demands on every component.

Advancing Ceiling Fan Technology for Everyday Home Comfort

Positioned as the company's most powerful ceiling fan to date, the launch comes as homeowners in Singapore continue to look for more from the home appliances they use daily.

"In Singapore, ceiling fans are no longer viewed only as basic ventilation fixtures. Many households now expect ceiling fans to deliver energy efficiency, reliable performance, and smart features, and Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS represents Point One Technology's response to these changing expectations," revealed Lim Jun Yang, Lead Operations Officer and Lead Product Development of Point One Technology.

The fan is suitable for modern living rooms, bedrooms, dining areas, and workspaces. It can also support hybrid cooling, in which ceiling fans are used alongside air conditioning to distribute cool air more effectively and lower electricity bills.

For the first time, Point One Technology is introducing a preorder promotion in conjunction with a new product launch. The initiative allows customers to register early interest in the new model before it officially becomes available.

A Flagship Fan Built Around Airflow Performance

Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS is designed to reach a maximum of 396 RPM, the highest among Point One Technology's ceiling fan models. Compared to previous models, the new launch places greater emphasis on maximum airflow, strengthened blade construction, upgraded motor performance, and premium styling.

"Typhoon is not made to just be another ceiling fan. Our ambition is to make it the best," said Lim Jun Yang, Lead Operations Officer, Lead Product Development at Point One Technology.

The new 38-inch ceiling fan also introduces glass-fibre-reinforced blades as part of Point One Technology's latest ceiling-fan technology. The added reinforcement increases blade strength, reduces flex, and improves fatigue resistance. At the same time, it keeps the blades lightweight, similar to traditional ABS-only designs.

Additionally, the blade system is paired with Point One Technology's latest 4th-generation NeoDrive TURBO EC-Motor. Developed in-house, the motor allows the company to better manage power delivery, torque behaviour, thermal performance, reliability, and smart home integration. The motor is also 10% slimmer than the previous generation, with a denser core that delivers a 12% increase in RPM.

A Longer-Term Approach to Product Design

Point One Technology frames durability as part of its approach to long-term product ownership and ceiling fan technology. For the company, a ceiling fan should not only perform well when new, but also remain reliable through everyday use.

Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS reflects this approach through a motor design built for zero-maintenance operation. Its sealed motor system helps protect internal components from external elements, while Japanese NSK ceramic sealed ball bearings reduce wear over time. With only 1% wear over 10 years of regular use, the motor makes wear negligible while supporting lasting performance.

Point One Technology is also a participating brand under Singapore's Climate Friendly Household Programme, with its fans eligible for use with Climate Vouchers. This aligns with the company's focus on energy-efficient ceiling fans built for long-term use.

Point One Technology's Next Step in Product Development

The new rollout reflects Point One Technology's broader direction as a homegrown Singapore brand focused on high-performance ventilation solutions, including options for homeowners looking for a large ceiling fan for living room spaces.

The new rollout reflects Point One Technology's broader direction as a homegrown Singapore brand focused on high-performance ventilation solutions, including options for homeowners seeking a large ceiling fan for living rooms. The company has previously developed smart home-enabled ceiling fans, 360° corner fans, and hugger ceiling fans with a patented screwless exterior design, which was recently recognised at the Red Dot Design Award.

Typhoon VSPEC-IV RS builds on this direction with its strongest motor and blade system to date. Looking ahead, Point One Technology is expected to continue developing ceiling fan technologies that support more powerful, efficient, and reliable high-performance ceiling fans suited to Singaporeans' lifestyles.
