HCF Tops Finder’s 2024 Customer Satisfaction Awards for Value and Trust

  • Written by The Times

HCF, Australia’s largest not-for-profit health fund, has been named a leader in both value and trust in the 2024 Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards. The health fund secured first place in the Top Value health insurance category, reinforcing its reputation for delivering affordable and comprehensive health cover for everyday Australians.

HCF was also recognised for its life insurance offerings, winning the Most Trusted direct life insurance brand award. According to Finder, 97% of Australians surveyed rated HCF as a trustworthy provider, solidifying the fund’s standing in the market.

“We’re incredibly proud to be acknowledged by Finder in both the health and life insurance categories. This is a demonstration of HCF’s unwavering commitment to providing members with uncommon care,” said HCF CEO, Sheena Jack.

Beyond the top rankings in value and trust, HCF earned third place in both the Most Trusted Brand and Quality Service categories for health insurance. The fund’s strong performance across multiple categories highlights its consistent efforts to meet members' needs, ensuring both affordability and high-quality service.

HCF also placed third in the Most Loved category, further underscoring the loyalty and connection it has fostered with its members over the years. According to Jack, this recognition reflects HCF’s core mission of prioritising members’ well-being over profits.

“At HCF, our mission is to put our members first, and these awards reaffirm that we’re delivering on that promise. Unlike for-profit insurers, our focus is where it should be—on providing award-winning value, products, service, and support to our members, not profits to shareholders,” Jack added.

Founded in 1932, HCF has grown to cover nearly 2 million members, and this latest series of awards adds to its track record of industry recognition.

Jack said the awards motivate the fund to continue delivering value and service to its members, noting, “Since our humble beginnings, we’ve been firmly focused on finding more ways to put our money where our members are. This mutual ethos underpins everything we do, and we are excited to continue enhancing the care and service we offer to Australians.”

The Finder Customer Satisfaction Awards are based on independent consumer surveys, providing an important barometer of public opinion on service, trust, and value within the health and life insurance industries.
