Qantas business rewards expands travel management capability

Qantas is expanding the travel management capabilities of its Qantas Business Rewards  program, including offering businesses the ability to book flights, hotels and car hire directly  through the platform for the first time.

More than 450,000 Australian businesses are Qantas Business Rewards members, and currently  benefit from discounts on flights and the ability to earn points on everyday business expenses.

In response to feedback and consultation from members about their travel needs, Qantas  Business Rewards is now expanding its platform to offer better travel management capability in  addition to the current rewards and discounts offered to members.

The expansion of the program into travel management will enable businesses and their  employees to (for no additional cost):

- Book and manage their entire work trip, including flights, hotels and hire cars.

- Set up business travel policies and apply these to bookings for better efficiency and to  give travel managers visibility of booking behaviour.

- Access to detailed data reporting and analytics in real time.

The Qantas Business Rewards travel management platform will be offered to a select group of businesses over the next few months as a trial, before being rolled out to all members later this year.

Qantas has partnered with travel technology company Spotnana to develop and power the travel  management component for the Qantas Business Rewards platform after a competitive tender  process.

Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth, said

“Earning Qantas Points on travel as well as everyday business expenses and getting discounts on flights  are real drawcards for our more than 450,000 Qantas Business Rewards members.

“In response to feedback from our members, we’re evolving the Qantas Business Rewards platform to  offer better travel management capabilities in addition to the current benefits.

“The investment we’re making in the platform will make it easier for our members to manage their  business travel needs and make the most of their rewards, all in one place.”
