As a Vocational Education and Training (VET) student, it can be difficult to know which courses to take, and where to get your qualification. Finding a reliable institution to provide quality education and training is essential to success.

A survey run by the National Centre for Vocational Education Research (NCVER) found that MCI Institute provides quality education, training, and satisfaction – here are the results of the VET Student Outcomes 2022 survey.

Student Satisfaction

With 93.2% of students happy with their training, and 92.4% stating they would recommend the MCI Institute, we’re thrilled that we are able to deliver our students the tools they need to find fulfilment and success.

Students stated in the survey that they were satisfied with teaching, assessment, facilities, learning resources, support services, and location. They also stated they improved several professional development skills, including their writing and numerical skills, and problem-solving skills.

90% of our students were satisfied with their online learning experience and around 60% encountered no challenges at all with their online learning.

Student Employment Outcomes

The survey showed that almost 60% of our students improved their employment status upon completing their studies at MCI Institute.

Of the 34.5% of students who were unemployed prior to undertaking their course at MCI Institute, 34% were employed once they had completed their studies. This number has also considerably increased since 2021.

Students who were employed prior to undertaking their MCI Institute course also achieved a better job after training (12.2%), and received at least one job-related benefit.

Why do students choose to study with MCI Institute?

The majority of students undertaking study at MCI Institute did so for employment-related reasons - to get a job, find a better job, or receive benefits from improved skills. The remainder (16%) studied to further their own personal development.

What is the National Outcomes Survey?

NCVER conducts the VET Student Outcomes survey through the Social Research Centre (SRC). It’s run every year to gauge the overall satisfaction of VET students in their courses and gives valuable insight into VET providers. The goal is to ensure VET students are getting value, both socially and economically. With the results of this survey, VET course providers are able to recognise what they are doing well, and areas for improvement.
