  • Written by Times Media

Global management consulting firm CYLAD has appointed Jaco Vosloo as a Partner in its Sydney office.  With more than 20 years of experience across petroleum, energy infrastructure and energy transition for Government, Defence and the private sectors, Mr. Vosloo will play a key role in accelerating CYLAD’s growth in Australia, particularly within the Energy and Utilities sector.

CYLAD is a global management consulting firm supporting companies in building successful growth strategies, driving transformation, and optimising operational performance. Its 150 consultants in Australia, Europe and North America support large companies, SMEs and government agencies in industrial sectors such as Aerospace & Defence, Transportation, Energy & Utilities, Healthcare & MedTech, Construction & Infrastructure, Machinery & Electronics. Established in Australia in 2018, CYLAD Australia has offices in Adelaide and Sydney and has served the Defence, Transport and Energy sectors in NSW, SA, VIC, WA and ACT. Over the past financial year, the business has doubled its turnover and staff complement in Australia.

CYLAD Australia Partner Romain Bertin said that Mr. Vosloo’s appointment significantly strengthens CYLAD’s expertise in the Australian Energy and Utilities sector due to the strength of his expertise.

“Jaco has a breadth of experience in large-scale program and project delivery, operational excellence, operating model design and major organisational transformation programs,” explained Mr. Bertin.

“He will bring deep fuel industry and energy transition expertise to enable CYLAD’s continued growth into Energy and Utilities in Australia and globally.”

Before joining CYLAD Mr. Vosloo spent six years at Deloitte Australia as Director in the Infrastructure & Industrials practice, where he advised Defence and private sector clients on the challenges posed by the rapidly evolving fuel industry, including organisational readiness, supply chain and infrastructure resilience and positioning for the energy transition.

Before that, he spent more than four years at Eneos, Japan’s largest oil refiner and marketer, as Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Supply for its Australian fuels marketing and distribution subsidiary. There, he held executive responsibility for end-to-end supply chain operations, operational excellence, commercial fuel supply agreements and relevant M&A due diligence and business integration activities.

Earlier in his career he spent almost four years in the liquid renewable fuels industry, before spending more than five years at Ampol in roles covering supply, distribution operations and sales.

Mr. Vosloo holds a PhD in Polymer Chemistry from the University of Sydney and is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch (South Africa).
