Familiar Environmental Problems and How to Solve Them

  • Written by NewsServices.com

Social Studies gives an outlook on man, his environment, and how he relates to it. This outlook has shown man to be an ever-evolving species, and this evolution is influenced by how well he utilizes and interacts with the resources present in his environment.

Indeed, we often tend to leave some unpleasant effects on our environment in a bid to find better ways to survive, and these little effects can all pile up to create significant environmental issues. It would be fair to say that most of the actions we take that affect our environment are quite avoidable. However, they are sometimes inevitable but still present the same problems. Thankfully, this article will consider some techniques that can help to combat and minimize these issues in our environment.

Before highlighting the solutions to these problems, however, we will provide details on some environmental Issues experienced today and what well point dewatering service providers are doing to help resolve them. Read on for more interesting information.

Significant Environmental Problems

Newton’s third law states, “for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” This law best explains the ongoing interaction between man and the earth. Every action has consequences. And in the case of man and his environment, these consequences occur as environmental issues. They include:

  1. Loss of biodiversity: Biodiversity refers to various species of living organisms. A closer look at the earth now in comparison to the earth centuries ago shows that some organisms that existed centuries ago are extinct now. Because man’s actions have impacted the earth so much that other living organisms are forced to follow the rules of adapt or die.

  2. Global warming: True earth is habitable, but the degree to which it was habitable over the years has dropped. Earlier highlighted was that living organisms now follow the rules of adapting or dying. But in truth, adaptation is required when there is a change. Man’s actions have brought about elements that are harmful to the ecosystem. Global warming results from excess carbon elements in the atmosphere forcing climate change.

  3. Water pollution and ocean acidification: Every element on earth has a standard proportion on how its components should occur. Water bodies on the earth are no exception. Water makes up 75% of the earth and has an empirical formula (H20). Another formula than this is no longer pure water. The release of harmful substances like oil spillage, radioactive substances, and more contaminate the standard formula of water, making it acidic. This affects the organisms present in water bodies.

Tips for Combating Environment Issues

  1. Encourage the production and use of sustainable energy to reduce the emission of harmful substances.

  2. Promote the cultivation of forest populations as this helps combat global warming and climate change.

  3. Establishing laws that prioritize the conservation of biodiversity.

  4. Adoption of smart technology to aid the reduction of radioactive substances and wastes in the environment.

  5. Reduce ocean acidification threats by expanding the network that monitors and curb ocean acidification.

  6. Conducting campaigns to create awareness on how man’s actions have consequences on the ecosystem.

Conclusion

The earth is man’s environment, and it is beautifully structured to satisfy man’s every need. But then, to protect the earth, man should also note every action he takes and how it affects his environment. This is to avoid destroying the beautiful environment he inhabits. Fuel system maintenance companies such as The PSA Group are actively involved in processes that help reduce the impact of various environmental issues facing our earth today.
